Gravity
Boulders of different sizes are attached to different parts of the body, including the arms, legs, abdomen and back. As the body starts to move, the stones move around the body. Clarinde Wesselink is inspired by the story of the Dutch astronaut Wubbo Ockels. In the documentary, Wubbo: A Dutchman In Space, Wubbo’s wife tells us that after his return from space he would get out of bed at night and lay down in the swimming pool. The pool was the only way to float a little. He was homesick for a world without gravity.
