I created a performance for the drawing session in which the passing time was made tangible and she herself became an hourglass. From some twenty heavy cloth balls attached to her body, sand slowly ran away, spreading on the ground and gradually changing the space. My body grew lighter by the second so that I could playfully show how time manifests itself in space. Read more

A new movement vocabulary arises, not from thoughts or concepts, but through the path of the ant on the surface of the skin. The ant clearly indicates in its movements where the skin and thus the wearer of the ant stops and space begins. Read more

Boulders of different sizes are attached to different parts of the body, including the arms, legs, abdomen and back. As the body starts to move, the stones move around the body. I was inspired by the story of the Dutch astronaut Wubbo Ockels. Read more

Swivel was specially designed  and was performed for the opening of Mirador del Silica, the exhibition by Marieke Schoonderbeek and Eva Pel. It is a harbinger of their One-Man-10-Days-Settlement -29°13 'project on the Canary Island Lanzarote. In my work, I am looking for those moments where creation is possible and becomes tangible, but hasn’t yet manifested itself into something definable. Read more

This is a dance installation in which six dancers let themselves be carried away by the movements of water. A soft plastic cylindrical bag filled with water is attached to the head of each dancer. As soon as the dancers move the water moves. But water moves very differently from us. Water moves slower, but also responds to everything. Even when the dancers try to stand still there is vibration on the surface of the water and that in turn influences their movements. Read more
