Apart, We Are Together
Now the places through which we move every day have changed, I often think back on my journey through Japan. Especially the sensitivity that I experienced with people towards their environment.

Within Japanese culture, the concept of "space" has a different meaning than we know in the West. In the West, space is framed by the relationships between objects: the walls, the ceiling and the furniture. In Japan, space is about the relationships between people and how it forms these relationships.

Inspired by the Japanese concept of space, I created the performance "Apart, We Are Together I". In 'Apart, We Are Together I' you as a public can experience that even in the absence of movement or interaction there is still interaction between each other and the environment.
